You'll design your own composition using traditional imagery provided by us, including flora and fauna, architectural elements, and a figure.

Suitable for students who have completed the beginner course, or who have some prior knowledge and experience in fine art and illustration.

Bring your own packed lunch for our 45-minute lunch break, refreshments will be provided.

By the end of the course, you will learn how to:

  • Prepare your ground and transfer your image

  • Use a fine squirrel-tail hair brush

  • Use your wrist and the 360° movement of your wrist/brush

  • Prepare a colour palette using high-end natural pigments and student-quality watercolours

  • Create a composition with multiple elements (figure, nature such as trees and flowers, buildings, animals, etc.)

  • Use a finishing technique called Pardakht (stippling)

  • Add a simple lined border with a gold band

All materials will be provided and shared amongst students, you'll take your finished work home in a tote bag.
